The French Government announced today that it is imposing a ban on the use of fireworks at Euro Disney. The decision comes the day after a nightly fireworks display at the park, located just 30 miles outside of Paris, caused soldiers at a nearby French Army garrison to surrender to a group of Czech tourists . -- Sent by a friend of mine. Ha!

Its been a tough weekend for the troops. The causalities, the grenade attack, the accidents... Yet they still hanging in there and giving as good as they are getting.
Keep up the good work, folks. Stay safe and stay frosty.
For those who think being a human shield was a great idea, please read this. Thanks to Fury for sending me the link.
Last night, someone got mad at me for calling Michael Moore a sod. It was one of the few moments that I actually speak my mine and a lass was upset with my comment. Her comment to me: "He's allowed to state his opinion." My response: "Aye, he is free to speak his mind, but he is still a sod."
Apparently I had made my prior comment right after Moore had his tirade at the Oscars in which he was booed by part of the audience.
Its not the anti-war message that I had an issue with, but rather his belief that he speaks for every American in the country. His 'scolding' letter to the President sounded more like a temper tantrum that a child would have when he or she wouldnt get their way.
After Moore was booed, he later made the comment backstage that "Don't report that there was a split decision in the hall because five loud people booed."
Dont worry, Mr. Moore. There are a lot more of us who are booing you.
Out in The Yard
There are few bands that I will actually spend money on to buy their cd, especially since RIAA is so determined to keep their failing business model.
Linkin Park is one band worthy of spending money on. Their latest cd, Meteora, will be available tomorrow so I'll have to remember to pick it up after work. In the meantime, CNN did a pretty good story on the band.

Hourglass by Squeeze
Take it to the bridge, throw it overboard
See if it can swim, back up to the shore
No one's in the house, everyone is out
All the lights are on and the blinds are down
This was always one of those catchy little tunes from the 80's.
