Castle Shima

Ready my knights for battle. They will ride with their king once more.

All my married friends keep telling me I should get married. They say "Come join us! Come on! Get married!" I ask them "Are you happy?" and they respond "Nevermind that! Come join us!" -- Anonymous

Listen Out
I was shocked when a friend of mine called me. When I saw the number on the caller id, I was surprised and worried because she normally calls her brother to discuss matters, not me. Sue and I fell out of touch awhile ago with the few random "hello's" here and there, but here she was, needing someone to talk with.

A slight bump in the married life for her which turned into a major gap. She was afraid that this may become more serious because the 'D' word came into play by her husband. This was the first time it had ever happened.

Even though I've never been married, I could feel her pain. Here was the person you love, the one you swore to share your life with, and it could be gone in the drop of the hat.

So we talked for abit; talked about we lads tend not to be the best communicators, and that we tend think with the wrong heads at the wrong time.

I hope it helped. As much as we have a past, I wouldnt want to wish that Sue. I wouldnt want to wish that on anyone.

My curiousity did get the better of me though. I asked her why she chose to talk to me and not her brother. She said "Well, despite it all, you have always been a good listener."

I was flattered at that. I've never thought myself as a good listener. After all, my own ex used to tell that I would never listen to her, that she was always talking to thin air...

...Or something like that...

More madness
I finally got a chance to scan more pictures of the Tampa trip.

* It was tough to just sit around the pool and look at this all day. Damn those British lasses for being so attractive.

* I dont remember what brought this on. I dont think I want to know.

* Flirty is determined to prove she can swallow more than anyone else. Like that was ever in any doubt.

*Speaking of swallowing, here is Whisper's "Spit Zone." I kept looking for the bio-hazard suits to be deployed.

* I had issues doing any dirty dancing with Rose. As attractive as she is, she's bloody well as old as my mother. On the other hand, Little Will was stuck on his Mrs. Robinson fantasy. That lad is going to get himself hurt one of these days.

Out in The Yard
Spammers are promoting a cure for SARS. Geezus we are a greedy bunch, arent we? The story is here .

Background Noise
Resident Evil is on. As much as it was panned by critics, I really like this movie. I never got into the video game too much so I didnt have much expectations over it. The action was exciting and the story was pretty decent. Not too bad for video game converted to a movie.

A British movie called 28 Days Later is coming out soon which is roughly based on a similiar premise. I've heard alot of good things about it so this will have to be one to watch.

Speaking of video games to movies, Lara Croft 2 should be out soon. The previews are already out in the theaters. Bugger!
